ExBhav is a personal journaling app for your own stock research and trades on the Indian
market (NSE/BSE). It is a private reflection tool — not investment advice, and it never places
orders. This policy explains what happens to your data.
The short version
- Your journal lives on your device (and, when enabled, your own iCloud). We don't have a copy.
- We run no analytics, no ad tracking, and no third-party trackers.
- The only time your notes leave your device is if you tap “Analyse” for AI insights — and you're told before that happens.
What's stored, and where
- Journal data (notes, trades, tags, price snapshots, attached chart images, voice-note
audio and transcripts) is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database, and
syncs through your own iCloud account if you enable it. It is not sent to us.
- Voice notes are transcribed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. The audio
and transcript are stored with your entry like any other note.
- Kite session: your Zerodha access token is stored securely in the device Keychain. We
never see or store your Zerodha password — you log in on Zerodha's own page.
When data is sent off your device
- Market data (Zerodha Kite): the app fetches prices, charts, holdings and positions
directly from Zerodha's Kite Connect using your login. This is governed by
Zerodha's policies.
- AI Insights (opt-in): if you tap “Analyse”, the relevant notes and trade outcomes are
sent — via our backend — to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the written pattern
analysis. This is processed transiently to produce your insights and is not stored by us
beyond ordinary short-lived request logs. See
Anthropic's privacy policy. If you never
tap “Analyse”, no note text is sent.
- Backend: our small serverless backend (hosted on Vercel) only (a) exchanges your Kite
login token and (b) proxies the AI-insights request so API keys stay off your device. It holds
no account and stores no journal data.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- No accounts on our servers — there's nothing to breach.
Notifications
Price alerts are delivered as local notifications generated on your device. We don't run a
push-notification server.
Your control
You own your data. Delete a note or a stock in-app to remove it; delete the app to remove
everything on the device (and manage the iCloud copy from Settings ▸ iCloud). Microphone, Speech,
and Notification permissions can be revoked anytime in iOS Settings.
Children
ExBhav is intended for adults managing their own trading journal and is not directed at children.
